"I AM"

There are seven occasions in John’s gospel where Jesus invokes the Old Testament name of God: “I AM.” But these statements are about more than Jesus’ claim to be divine. Each one of the seven sayings provides insight into Jesus’ mission: why he came, and what he offers those who are spiritually searching today.
