We’re continuing with the story of Moses. He’s been told by God to return to Egypt to free the People of God from Pharaoh.  Pharaoh is not keen on this and God sends 10 plagues before Pharaoh changes his mind.  These resources will help you explore the plagues of Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea.

Moses

This video from Crossroads Kids gives a great overview of this section of the story. You can find this part of the Moses story in Exodus chapter 4-15.

Clued Up!

This crossword puzzle will test your knowledge of the story! Use a Bible for help if you need to.

Plague Puppets

Make your own 10 plagues of Egypt finger puppets! Can you remember in which order the plagues came? Colour your own or print out in colour.

Make a sensory box

The plagues of Egypt can make for a great sensory box for young children. You can fill a small box with sand, plastic animals, small stones and fabric to represent different plagues. The blog Grace and Wondering has some great ideas to start you off.

Storytelling

This short video will show you how to re-use your storytelling materials (From the Lord's Prayer) to tell the story of Moses for the plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea.
