A few weeks ago we explored the Tabernacle. At the end of Exodus 40 the Lord’s presence fills the Tabernacle and it was full of the awesome glory of the Lord! The presence was like a cloud and when it moved the people moved, cloud by day, fire by night. I wonder what that would have looked like? What would it feel like to see God with you like that?

God as a cloud

You may not have God’s presence with you as a cloud, but you can have a go at making your own cloud! You will need: An empty jar with a metal lid, boiling water from a kettle, a few ice cubes and a can of aerosol spray (hairspray works well) Watch this video to see how it’s done and have a go at making you own. What do you think it would be like to see a cloud of glory? How would it move? How would you know it was God?

Building a tabernacle song

Working together to build a tabernacle, in song and Lego! When the people worked together they made a place for God to live among them. God is with us now by his Holy Spirit! John 13:35 says “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples”. When we love each other and work together, we show that the presence of God is with us in our lives.

God’s presence is good!

Taste and see that the Lord is good! Psalm 34:8 Yummy it up with some fire and cloud snacks! You will need: breadsticks, fruit winders, mini marshmallows and some melted chocolate or royal icing to stick it together!

God’s presence helps me

Play this game together to think about how the presence of God helps us in our lives. You’ll need some coins, something to wrap around your hand and a timer!
